Hello Fans & Happy Holidays!
As another year comes to a close, I would like to take a moment to remember and give thanks for all of the wonderful things in my life. 2006 was a year of many new and exciting experiences, like Hairspray and Brooklyn. The USO Tour with General Pace certainly kicked off '06 with a bang! I have gotten a chance to meet even more wonderful people this year that I hope will stay in my life for many more years.
All of you have stood by me through all the good and even the icky bad. I truly thank you for your continuous love, support, and belief in me. I hope you all are ready for a kickin' 2007. This upcoming year is full of promise, and I cannot wait to take all of you along for the ride! I will only be staying with Hairspray until February 11th. Also, my
first performance for 2007, outside of Hairspray, will be for the Georgia Lt. Governor, on January 7th, for his Inauguration.
Everyone keep an eye out for what's in store for after the 'Spray. I don't want to spill the beans yet, or jinx anything, but be prepared to be shocked (in a good way)!! :)
Last, but definitely not least, I would like to thank everyone who sent me magnets, ornaments, and gifts this past year. I wish I had the time to thank each one of you individually, but just know that I know who you are! Everything is beautiful, and I am honored to have you all as my fans and friends!.

Once again, Happy Holidays & HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
Peace & Love,
Diana
Hi, All!
Re: Diana:
Just a correction to the Scarborough Country interview with Diana over this stalker/hacker/blackmailer situation. She should be on tonight at 9:00 p.m. EST. They were running late Monday and moved it until today. Sadly, even though Tanya has pled guilty to stalking and blackmail, she's still posting obscene messages and harassing us. Let's hope that when she faces the judge she'll get enough of a sentence to make her stop. It is what it is. But Diana is still in Hairspray on Broadway and loving it. Look for her tonight on TV!
Re: David:
As everyone knows, David, Diana's brother/my son, is stationed in Afghanistan. This is his third trip over there. He has been in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Afghanistan for THREE years. (The Army usually goes for 12 months!)
We thought 1,000 boxes were already set aside to be sent to his battalion. Because we couldn't provide them the exact number in time, they went out, anyway -- not to his group. On a brighter note, however, even though there was a mixup in NC, and 1,000 boxes were supposed to go to David's Army battalion overseas in Afghanistan and were sent to another group, we're going to still send over whatever we can put together by next Tuesday for his troops.
Because of security, they won't let me give out his address (understandable). So we're collecting items to go out by the first of next week over there to 1,000 of his soldiers. We are asking for anything you want to send. I'm paying for the postage, but it can be letters, DVD's, home movies, you name it. A school here is having all their kids write letters, and the soldiers LOVE that. One soldier told me they love to watch DVD's of just TV for a day from home, homemade anything, beef jerkey, you name it -- batteries and calling cards. When we were in Africa, the man running the canteen said he loved getting posters and giveaway items for contests they staged for the soldiers. It could be a video put together from your school or group with everyone saying something to the soldiers. It could be nothing but one note, 500 notes, or even 1,000 notes to the soldiers. I'm open for suggestions.
If you recall, last year Diana did a birthday party for the Garlands, and he and the kids coming to the party donated money to fill boxes for the soldiers overseas. They spent thousands of dollars, and the KIDS LOVED IT!! It brought back the real meaning of giving gifts. One parent said it was the best birthday they had ever had. Diana even sat them down and asked them if they knew why they were doing it. One child answered (after putting soap in the box) that she didn't want the soldiers to stink, so she put soap in there for them!!
So, you see, it's Christmas. And one way to counter the negative in the world is with a positive. And, no matter how you feel about the war, they're still OUR troops! Support them!
THANKS TO EVERYONE!!!
I'll get it there if anyone will send it to me at

I'm proud of both of my kids. As a parent, if you teach your kids to do nothing more than be great citizens, caring human beings, and give back something to the world to make it a better place, you have done your job. Now, whether they'll agree with all that is still debatable! But I guess I can retire now ... maybe.
THANKS AND LOVE,
Brenda
P.S. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! And pass on the information to anyone who wants to help! Nothing is too small! :)
Since we've been on and off the road all summer, we just wanted to thank everyone for the gifts, coming multiple times to see Brooklyn, and for just generally being great fans. While doing Diana's paperwork from last year, I couldn't believe how many places we visited in just one year -- from Alaska to Iraq! Now, beat that! And Diana is loving New York (as always). Hairspray is always a blast!
Thanks, also, to everyone who sent gifts to the house and to those who made all the great gifts: the blankets, the picture box, the pictures, and on and on. We love them -- and all the rest of the gifts, too. We may not be able to thank every person personally, but wanted to let you know we do KNOW what you did!
Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to DAWN and several other DreamTeamers. September must be a big month for a lot of people.
Thanks for the magnets. What great fun that has been looking for just the right magnet to represent each person. Of course, mine had to say something about mothers on it! (Just a gentle reminder to Diana!) ![]()
There will be lots of things on the horizon, so hang in there. Thanks for the fans who haven't gone nuts on the internet. You shine! And for the other computer nuts, the end is near!
Other than that, the dogs are happy, so I'm happy. Dixie has decided that it's easier just to stick her head only out the doggie door rather than waste energy running in and out. I think we need to exercise together! I'll try to catch a picture and send it to you, because it's hysterical! She lets Rosy chase burglars. She just does a backup bark just in case she's needed. She doesn't move. She just begins to bark and howl as backup! Quite funny and great entertainment!
Love,
Mom D
P.S. For those of you who missed it, Dawn was speeding down the streets of San Jose when we left! She had her backpack and was cruising! We need to get her pink and black playing cards for the spokes of her chair and those pink plastic things that are long and stringy and hang out of the handlebars! That would be cool!
Tune in later!
Love, Mom
Thank You for the beautiful flowers I recieved on the opening night in San Jose and to everyone who came to see BKLYN. I hope everyone enjoyed the show!!
Thanks for the love & support,
Diana
